This is a very tasty and easy recipe or crunchy, savory crackers.


You see, I think there should be alternatives which make our lives easier.

That's why I love making recipes!


We can easily participate in every joy of life, in celebrations, at festively dinners and outings without feeling like the "poor relative".


All we need is preparation and good mood!

As you know...some people may be adapted, not care at all, while others may be tortured and deprived.


I don't know why I decided to write these in the prologue of a simple recipe while there are other complex ones and it would make some sense..


But this simple crackers recipe can transform a festive buffet.


The mixture of herbs de Provence (it could also be called a mixture of Greek herbs) gives the best result in terms of aroma and flavor!


As it is an excellent herb mixture, I mention the recipe down below.

So, in a very short time you may have a luxurious result with minimal carbohydrates!


Of course, these crackers can be a solution for breakfast, can also accompany a meal, become croutons in salads or a base for a light dinner.

Just try and then you'll see what I mean.

Pieces: 24

• Ingredients:


140 g / Almond flour


30 g / Ground sesame seeds*


1 Tbsp / Herbs de Provence*


1/2 tsp / Salt


1 Tbsp / Olive oil


1 / Egg (large)


• Herbs der Provence mixture:


3 Tbsp / Dry oregano


3 Tbsp / Dry rosemary


4 Tbsp / Dry thyme


1 Tbsp / Dry marjoram


1 tsp / Dry basil


• Instructions for the herbs de Provence mixture:

1 Put all the dry herbs in a blender and beat for a while to mix.


2 Store this mixture in a container and use it to season meat, fish, chicken and any other recipe you want.


• Instructions for crackers:


1 Preheat the oven at 175°C (fan assisted).


2 Prepare a baking tray or baking sheet.


3 Weigh and mix the almond flour and grounded sesame seeds.


*Note:

Sesame seeds gives a nice flavour and but can also be replaced with an equal amount of almond flour, (170 g in total).


4 Add the herbs de Provence.


*Note:

The herb mixture can be replaced with just one species (I prefer thyme).


5 Whisk the egg and olive oil lightly and add to the dry ingredients.


6 Knead for a while to a firm dough.


7 Roll the dough with a rolling pin on a silicone surface, or between 2 parchment papers.

Try, as much as possible, to form a square shape.


8 Transfer the rolled dough with the parchment paper to the baking tray and divide with a knife or a pizza roll into 24 pieces of 5 cm each.


9 Bake for about 12 - 15 minutes, depending on the oven and the thickness of the dough.


After baking you may need to cut the crackers one more time.


These crackers become crispier as they cool.
